The Dodgers opened up their season with a 30-2 win on opening day against the upstart Nassau Mets. Sean Finn started the game and carried a no-hitter into the 4th inning, and allowed 1 ER on 3 hits through 5 innings overall. The offense was lead by just about everybody, but especially Travis Mussaw and Tom Russo, who each scored 6 runs in the contest. Russo was again hit by 2 pitches and upped his carear total to 5001. Several guys made their Dodger debut's and it was good to see them all get off to good starts. Shovon Horton had 2 hits and three RBI, as well as Ben Dashefsky and Rich McGraw each going 3-5 with 3 RBI a peice.
                                                                  

DALLO MOMENT OF THE WEEK:

Even though Jeff Dallo hung up his cleats, this award (as much as I want to name it after Hege) will stay in Dallo's honor. This weeks Dallo award actually went to a member of the Mets. As Stein walked to the mound to take his warmup pitches to start the bottom of the 6th inning, the leadoff batter for the Mets was already standing in the batters box ready to go. He apparently was unaware that the pitchers gets to warmup between innings. A lesson learned for all.
